1. Our commitment
LiberateOS is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to people with disabilities. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and aim to comply with Israeli Standard IS 5568, which references WCAG 2.1 AA.
We believe accessibility is not a feature — it is a baseline requirement. Given that LiberateOS serves healthcare-adjacent audiences, we are especially committed to ensuring our website is usable by people with a wide range of abilities and assistive technologies.
2. Measures taken
To support accessibility, we have implemented the following measures:
- Keyboard navigation: all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard. Focus states are visually distinct.
- Screen reader support: semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, footer, nav, section), ARIA labels where needed, and descriptive alt text for meaningful images.
- Color and contrast: WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios throughout. Color is never the sole means of conveying information — shape, icon, and text are always paired.
- Text resizing: the layout is responsive and readable at 200% text size without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced motion: animations are suppressed for users with prefers-reduced-motion set.
3. Known limitations
This website is actively developed. Some areas may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, including: blog article bodies (complex prose layouts), and some dynamic form interactions on older assistive technologies.
We are actively working to address these gaps. If you encounter a specific accessibility barrier, please contact us using the details below — we will prioritise it.
4. Technical information
This website is built on the following technologies that support accessibility:
- HTML5 semantic markup
- CSS with logical properties for RTL support (Hebrew)
- JavaScript / React with accessible component patterns
- ARIA attributes where native HTML semantics are insufficient
5. Assessment approach
LiberateOS assesses the accessibility of this website through self-evaluation and periodic review against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. Formal third-party accessibility audit is planned as part of the Q1 2027 pilot readiness process.
